Went window shopping in Matalan today and l saw this beautiful skirt ,cardigan and dress,l tried on the cardigan and skirt they fit but the dress was to small ,l love the colour of the skirt its a beautiful and I'm a big  fan of polka on clothes.This look is very 1950's ,dont forget to share this post

Rimmel Lipstick for black girls

Today was one of those day's I wanted to feel special ,its was 2 Centigrade outside and I decided to wear some warm clothes and put on some fuchsia lipstick.The lipstick I use was Rimmel 320 fun time fuchsia The outfit I worn was a pair of blue jeans from Asda G21 range ,a Red jumper from C and A and a pair of sand colour ankle boots from Van Herren (pictures coming soon) 'I looked lovely if  I do say myself ,I felt like a million dollars and its amazing how many men stop to stare. I love fashion

I want to make this blog the best blog for curvy women so I going to be updating more of and going to me making my own clothes.I always wanted to be a model but unfortuately I dont have perfect straight teeth and I am not a size zero but I dont think this should.stop my dream .Fashion should include women of all sizes .my favourite blog for fashion got to be Greta sewing blog .she one stylish girl with her retro chic .Hopefully I can be as good as her and make a living from blogging so I dont have to work a 9 to 5.Bye for now

I wanted this blue bubble jacket from marks and spencer but after trying it on, l decided l didnt like the colour but its a lovely jacket its retails for 69 pounds,I'm wearing the large size.

Three matalan dress for curvy girls Jan 2013

This is a lovely malatan dress but l like my dresses to flare out at the waist so l didnt  buy this one  but its still very nice , this is a size 16 and the belt was to small too.

Matalan dress same as below but in size 18,this dress is  to big and  baggy but  l  brought this dress in size 16 in both colours as l will be losing the 2 and half stone l put on.

These are some lovely dresses from Matalan , there's available up to a size 18. I brought the cream dress and I love it, if I had the money I would buy all three dress. Its a very vintage 1940's style and great for a girl who wants to looks stylish but modest .The dress goes to the knee so its great for riding a bicycle in and you don't have to worry that when you go up a escalator your knickers will be showing.You could wear them with tights or long socks with knee high boots .I will post a picture of me wearing it soon.

Bra Tops from Primark

If there's one thing l hate is wearing a bra with under-wire in it, l remember a time when most bra's didnt have wire in them ,but due to the wonder bra era ,most bra's have wire in them and this makes them a no no in my book ,l usually wear vest with hidden support in them or little bra top .l got great set of two bra from primark for 5 euro, there so comfortable and give me the support l need. I'm only a c cup and dont intent to have wire digging into me all day ,who every created the bra with wire in them is a idiot,they create more problems then they solve.

Is size 16 fashion seen as an after thought in uk and europe

I am a UK size 16( american size 12) , 174cm and a size 8/42 in shoes,I feel like I'm just an after thought when it comes to fashion sometimes . Its can be sometime hard to get fashionable clothes in the Netherlands where some women here since to be size 14 UK and under,shopping in Germany is  my saving grace .Shops like H and M only stock a size 14 in the Netherlands but the the UK go up to a size 16. And getting cheap fashionable shoes can be difficult here too , 80  percent of the shoes aren't in size 42(8) , they mostly stop at 40(6) its a fucking pain.

I get fed up of wearing the same shoes over and over again , right now l get my shoes from Manchester ship then to my mum house in Manchester and pick them up when l go home to England. 

One of my favourite shop is c and a ,we use to have C and A when l was a kid but it closed all its stores in the UK when l was in my teens but this shop is a living and kicking in the Netherlands and Germany , you can get great clothes from there.

 My favourite clothes shops are Primark, Asda, C and A and Mark and Spencer when l have a bit of money lol. Please check out these shops if your looking for nice fashionable cheap clothes minus Mark and Spencer its not cheap.

As l get older my clothes get tighter and elastic become my best friend ,Its amazing because when l was a size 12 to 14, l worn jeans and t-shirt 99 percent of the time but now those clothes are to tight .Now l wear skirts and dresses and l loving it. I feel my womanly and dresses and skirts are more comfortable then tight jeans.Its funny really as my mum wear skirt and dresses everyday, as she a size 18/20 and l couldn't understand why, but l know why now,there a big girls best friend.Here's some pictures of my new style people

 When your a Uk size 16 it can be hard to find clothes especially in Netherlands as most Dutch women are quite slim ,but what can you expected if half of them ride single gear bicycle's and the other half ride gear bicycles.In Amsterdam last summer it was a nightmare trying to find clothes in a size 16/44 but down south in Limburg where l live Dutch women get fatter and shorter so its not to bad.
I still struggle to buy shoes in a size 42/8 as the women aren't as tall and don't have big feet in Limburg, Netherlands thou .I'm 5ft 8 1/2 inches or 174cm, l'm tall then the average women in the uk but probably the same height in the netherlands but who wants to be average but up north in Amsterdam l felt short lol, most women up north are my height or taller and you can always get you size 42/8 in shoes.

So when l went shopping in Essen , Germany and snapped up  this lovely playsuit (romper) which is black and white polka dots, its a uk size 16,thanks god, the Primark in  Essen better then the one in my home town of Manchester, l also brought a lovely checked shirt from h and m this is a size 16 too. l love both items and will enjoy wearing them since summer here.

Here's a picture of my new singer 8280 sewing machine , l brought since l moved to the Netherlands
l brought it from http://www.matson.nl as my old machine at home in Manchester. It cost me 115 euro including delivery and l'm very happy with it. l havent tried it yet but l'm sure it work fine.l'll review by the end of this week.Singer a excellent maker and has a good reputation for making sewing machine that last .it only took four days to come that include sat and sun which are working days.
